Terry Fitzgerald, LMT
Senior Staff Specialist
Terry is a 2009 graduate of the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy and holds a bachelor’s degree in medical technology from the College of St. Rose. Terry worked in the medical field for several years before changing course after a post-partum injury left her partially disabled for several years. She tried several physical therapists without any lasting relief. However, in 2006 she found a manual physical therapist that used a hands-on, holistic approach that led her on the path to healing. This hands-on holistic approach is called myofascial release (MFR). Terry’s curious nature and scientific mind propelled her into massage school with the intention of studying MFR. It was her hope that she could learn how to help others as she was helped during that time.
After graduating from CNWSMT in 2009, she immersed herself in learning myofascial release principles and techniques, completing hundreds of hours of continuing education and hands-on trainings. As her understanding and adeptness with fascia grew, she incorporated lymphatic facilitation (C-MLD) and Scarwork into her box of tools. She integrates these techniques, as well as deep tissue and Swedish massage into her sessions to meet the unique needs of each client.
Terry has a passion for bodywork and loves to share her knowledge with others and did so for 10 years as an instructor and faculty member at CNWSMT. Terry is committed to living a healthy, joyful, inspired life and enjoys spending her time outside of work with various activities such as; spinning, walking, yoga, meditation, reading and cooking.
