On May 8th of this year, I predicted that by August 13 that we’d be back to operational in what is our new normal.

And here we are, our new normal is a time of ordinary unpredictability. The waters are turbulent but we are afloat and I’m grateful for that. I made a bunch of changes during the time at home and in addition to opening the Niskayuna location this feel like a fresh start, a RE-birthday.

From now on, August 13th will be observed as our Rebirthday. The new and improved Bodywork Professionals, a phoenix rising from the ashes to take wing to a glorious dawn! Ok… That’s a bit hyperbolic but you get the idea.

Formally opened in 2005, this year marks the first 15 years in business for us. They say the first 15 is the hardest and I say thank goodness thats over and now the smooth sailing can begin.

I’m choosing August 13th because it’s the numbers of letters in Bodywork (8) Professionals (13)

8,13 are part of a larger sequence of numbers called the Fibonacci sequence or Phi. I choose the name Bodywork Professionals in part because it fit within that sequence. I incorporate the Golden Ration into my design and marketing, and into many of my business dealings.  I found it to be like writing in poetry, settling on a format was not restricting, it inspired innovation and creativity.

We originally planned a large party but that seems silly now. Look for a special coupon by email and on social media on August 13th.
