Terry is a 2009 graduate of the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy. She holds a
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from the College of St. Rose and worked as a Research
Scientist and personal trainer before an injury left her partially disabled in 2002. During that time, she
tried various physical therapists without any lasting relief. However, in 2006 she found a manual
physical therapist that used a hands-on, holistic approach that led her on the path to healing. For the
first time in 4 years she was able to not only function but thrive with minimal discomfort. Holistic, by
definition; characterized by comprehension of the parts of something as intimately interconnected and
explicable only by reference to the whole. The physical therapist was using a type of bodywork called
Myofascial Release. Terry’s curious nature and scientific mind propelled her into massage school to
learn how these simple hands-on techniques were able to give her so much relief. It was her hope that
she could help others as she was helped during that time. After graduating from CNWSMT, Terry
immersed herself in learning myofascial release principles and techniques, trigger point therapy and
lymphatic facilitation. She integrates these techniques, as well as deep tissue and Swedish massage into
her sessions to meet the unique needs of each client.
Terry brings over a decade of experience to Bodywork Professionals. She continues to grow and learn in
her field and now shares her knowledge and passion for bodywork with the students at CNWSMT where
she has been a faculty member since 2011. Terry is committed to living a healthy, joyful, inspired life
and enjoys spending her time outside of work with various activities such as; spinning, running, yoga,
meditation, reading and cooking.
