Seth was naturally led to a career in Massage Therapy after studying Reiki and Sound Healing. By applying these methodologies, he saw how the body can relax and release stress in a natural way. Tension in the human body often occurs as the result of the body’s effort to defend itself from mental, emotional or physical stress.
Seth utilizes his knowledge of Anatomy and Myology (the study of the structure, arrangement, and action of muscles and joints) to detect the cause of a client’s pain. He then works to loosen the body’s muscles to ease discomfort. This result is achieved by using a combination of massage modalities, including Swedish Massage to foster relaxation, Trigger Point Therapy to release knots and adhesions, and Myofascial Release to work with the body’s connective tissue collectively resulting in flexibility, ease of movement and a reduced level of bodily stress. Every massage session is geared to each individual’s needs.
Craniosacral therapy is a form on fascial work that focuses primarily on the 22 different bones of the skull, the spine, sacrum, cerebrospinal fluid and the membranes that hold and protect the central nervous system. It uses extremely slow, light pressure of only 5-10 grams, in context 1 nickle=5grams. This is not to say it does not have effects deep in the body, on the contrary you may even feel your skull bones shift slightly during CST. Eased tension and freer movement of fluid around the nervous system creates a sense of well being and allows the body to more fully facilitate its own natural healing process.
CST is great for people with chronic headaches, migraines, neck and jaw pain, back and pelvic pain, nerve issues and even helps with the discomfort of braces. Also with using such light pressure and a large focus on the head and neck it is an extremely relaxing modality.
Seth’s primary intention is to create a safe space where people can relax and begin their healing process.
