Some of you may know that all the staff at Bodywork Professionals are employees. While it is common practice to have “contractors” do massage, in 2013 New York State informed me all my contractors were in fact employees and I had to make some changes. I experience some growing pains converting everyone to employees but ultimately that change was for the best. There is a stability and continuity with staff at Bodyworks that stable employment affords.

Converting to employees was far more expensive than operating with contractors. I had to cut pay for staff and do with making less to be competitive.

We’ve only raised our prices twice in the last 12 years as I recognize massage and bodywork are an out of pocket expense and I’ve always tried to keep our prices withing reach. However it is time for us to make a modest increase.

I appreciate your understanding
